The average age of our CAREgivers is 38 – very high for our industry!  Each CAREgiver is bonded, insured, trained, and dedicated to being a CAREgiver, understanding that the work they do is not just another job, but a vocation with a higher calling.  Our CAREgivers love their jobs because they love to care for the elderly!

Tina Rowley owns the franchise in Birmingham, Michigan.  She and her husband, Tom, purchased their franchise in 1999, and have seen their business grow from humble beginnings to a trusted source for senior companionship and care.  Tina, a registered nurse, started the business because of her passion for caring for an ever-growing population of seniors.

The franchise is repesented by two dedicated and talented community service representatives (CSR).  Nan Wilberding and Bert Copple are the voice and face of Home Instead to the countless number of social workers, discharge planners, doctors, nurses, business owners, human resource managers, and senior advocates in Oakland County.

Bert Copple, one of the franchise’s CSRs, hosts this blog to provide education, information, and collaboration between non-profits to help benefit the lives of seniors.

Copple, a decorated war veteran served with the United States Army, with one tour of duty in South Korea and one combat tour in Iraq with the 3rd Squadron, 7th United States Cavalry.  He has worked in several roles to include media sales and development, magazine publisher and editor, radio show host, sports commentator, program director, promotions coordinator, and he currently serves in his current role with Home Instead Senior Care.  Copple is also a seminary student, and currently holds a pastorate with a church in Roseville, MI.
